The latch has already broken. When you compress the latch to raise/lower the pegs that secure the door into the "doorframe" of the crate, only one end moves. Furthermore, the handle is already breaking where it attaches to the crate. Fortunately, we will not be using this for long, as our pup will grow out of it. When I made the decision about the large crate to purchase for my dog as he grows, I did not go with the retriever brand.
